My recycling experience at Factory Lane is generally a good one but 10:34 on 02/08/23 was impressive, even though it had just thrown down with rain. I was facilitated by two very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable staff members. On arrival was met by a staff member who had facilitated my efforts previously and did so again, wishing me a good day. Went to the well posted rubble skip and a further staff member facilitated me unloading, thereafter with a smile, he facilitated again as I recycled my two elderly carpets. Thank you!

Smooth flowing traffic, staff helpful at gates. Ample of space and well sign posted. Got a small recycle point to leave items which can be still used. Visit Sunday around 11am and mostly less busy.

My daughter lives in Addiscombe and whenever I come up to help her take stuff to the tip I am astounded at the shere unhelpfulness and utter mess around the site. We have lived in Guildford and now Bude Cornwall and the staff at both those sites keep it spotless and obviously take pride in their workspace, and always help with guiding you to the correct bin if its not clear but all you get from the staff at Croydon is a grunt and a feeling they don't want to be there and really don't want to help.

Never had a problem here . Get up early and you won't be disappointed. Well-organised plus some staff are very helpful. Great service always.

Very well oiled machine. They are meticulous regarding the division of the different types of scrap (too meticulous sometimes but right so). What really bugs me is that Croydon Council no longer offer compost. It must be going somewhere. Seams very mean and a massive loss

I always find this place easy to drive to and through. Can get busy at times so my advice would be to go either as it opens or just after Managed very well

Went here yesterday, just after 4pm so cutting it quite fine - but for me it worked in my favour as there were not many people and so no queue. Everything is well organised and labelled, plus staff were helpful. No need to book unlike some other councils but do bring proof of being a resident and ID to avoid any confusion. Will use again now I know the setup.
